ANIMATION

Welcome to a collection of work that celebrates the child in all of us!

LET’S GET FUNDAMENTAL

Starting in the Summer of 2020 I realized I needed to get back to the basics to become a stronger animator. Starting with the bouncing balls all the way to the Pendulum Pantomime my the second half of the year was dedicated to learning!

Exercise 1 - Bouncing Balls

To learn about weight in animation I began with the classic bouncing ball exercises.

Beach Ball

Bowling Ball

Vanilla (Regular) Ball

Exercise 3 - Pendulum

Exercise 2 - Side Bouncing Ball

To push my bouncing ball further I completed a side bouncing ball to learn distance & how to decrease the energy of the bounce.

The Pendulum was tackled as a lesson in understanding more about the physics and the follow through in animation.

Exercise 4 - Pendulum Pantomime

In my most recent exercise I have brought all of the previous principles together and created a pendulum pantomime to understand how to achieve adding a bit of personality in unexpected places.
